Well done to all those who took part in the ICENI Taekwon-do belt grading on 20th June 2022, with an excellent 100% pass!
Photo shows the successful group of martial artists from the ICENI Taekwon-do club along with seated Examiner Mr Gillett VI and instructors Mr and Mrs Bedingfield.
The grading was hosted by instructors Mr and Mrs Bedingfield, with Mrs Bedingfield conducting most of the proceedings 🙂
A big thank you to GTUK Regional Examiner, Mr Clinton Gillett, 6th Dan from Bungay, who closely watched the students as they displayed their Taekwon-do skills which included: techniques, patterns, Korean terminology, sparring, step sparring, self-defence and board breaking.
We are pleased to say Mr Gillett was very pleased with the standards being achieved and a 100% pass rate was awarded.
Mr and Mrs Bedingfield would also like to thank their Black belts and senior grades for volunteering their help on the night, and also to the staff at The Venue for their assistance before and after the grading.
The grading shows the continued success in the rebuilding of the club since the Covid lockdowns, which decimated the previous membership from 60 down to 12 over the 2 years of restrictions. Only hard work and persistence from the instructors and core students kept the club going, at the time it looked to be an impossible task to get the club back to where it is today.
Indomitable Spirit comes to mind!
ICENI Taekwon-do always welcomes new students of all ages and abilities.
So now would be a great time to join the club with 3 months to prepare for the next grading.
Wishing good luck🍀 to all our ICENI Taekwon-do students attending their Belt grading.

Teaching Taekwon-do can make you extremely Happy and Sad at the same time!
This week we have had the largest groups of students training and filling the dojang since before the Covid lockdowns.
But during the Thursday session one of our lovely ladies suffered a torn tendon and is now in plaster for 6-8 weeks!
The ying and yang of life I guess.
We all wish Amanda a speedy recovery, as she now faces a real test of her indomitable spirit! Your Taekwon-do family will be keeping in touch
Now for the Happy
It was so good for Mr and Mrs B to see such a wonderful group of students enjoying Taekwon-do again. This is something we have worked tirelessly at, to bring the club back from the extreme lows of the lockdowns, and back to teaching our traditional martial art the way it was meant to be!
Thank you ICENI Taekwon-do.
Amanda you will be back, this is just a diversion on your Taekwon-do journey!
